This rare French Georgian Agate ring is a lavish piece from the 18th century, with all the drama and romance you’d hope for from the Georgian era. The elongated rectangular panel frames a beautiful natural Agate, swirling with soft lilac-grey tones and fiery orange inclusions that look like little flames drifting through mist.
The ornate 18ct Gold frame is richly detailed with a crisp geometric border. Sitting boldly across the finger, it has the presence of a miniature painting or intaglio tablet, yet remains elegant and wearable thanks to its slender shank and softly tapered shoulders.
The Eagle’s Head marks confirm its historic French origin, and there is evidence of an old resize to the back of the band — a lovely sign of a much-loved ring that has been carefully cherished and adapted over generations. A glorious statement piece for collectors of authentic antique jewellery.

Band is 2mm wide at the back.
WEIGHT: 5.9g.
MATERIALS: Tests as 18ct Gold, Metal underlay, Agate.
STAMPS: French Eagle's Head hallmark to the outer shank.
HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.
PACKAGING: Your order will be gift-wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.
Condition
VERY GOOD: The Agate is in very good condition with no obvious chips or cracks, showing only light surface wear in keeping with its great age. The 18ct Gold frame and shank are strong and secure, with some softening and patina to the engraved border and shoulders from centuries of wear. There is evidence of an old resize to the back of the band, which is neat and stable, and the ring wears beautifully and securely on the hand.

When you choose 'DDP', the price you see at the checkout is the full and final total you will pay to have your order delivered.

Layaway Installment Plans
A layaway is an interest-free payment plan that enables you to reserve an item with an initial deposit, and then pay the balance over 60 days.
Layaway is very popular with Lillicoco customers, particularly when making a more considered purchase.
How It Works
In total, you will make three payments over three months:
Day 1: 33.33%
Day 30: 33.33%
Day 60: 33.33%
Your layaway purchase is reserved for you as soon as the initial payment has been taken.
Your order is shipped once the full balance has been paid.
All of our usual terms and conditions apply with a layaway purchase, although 15% of the invoice total is nonrefundable in case of cancellation or return, acting as an administration fee.
A layaway is not a loan, nor is it a form of credit. A credit check is not required to put an item on layaway, and missing a payment will not affect your credit score.
If you do not complete your layaway on schedule your reservation may be cancelled and your payments may be refunded, minus the administration fee.
