A luminous Edwardian five-stone hoop ring, circa 1901, set with graduated Opal cabochons that shimmer with vivid blues, greens and pastel pinks. The Opals are beautifully matched and mounted in rich 18ct Gold, their milky depths alive with electric play-of-colour that dances with every movement.

Crafted with elegant crown-like claws and a scalloped, openwork gallery, this classic hoop silhouette is both timeless and striking on the hand. An exquisite example of turn-of-the-century craftsmanship, bearing London hallmarks for 1901.

MEASUREMENTS: Ring tapers from 8mm wide at the front to 2mm wide at the back.
Central Opal measures 7mm long x 5mm wide.
2 x Opals measure 6mm long x 3.5mm wide.
2 x Opals measure 5mm long x 3.5mm wide.
Total Opal weight is approx. 0.85ct.
WEIGHT: 5.3g.

MATERIALS: Tests as 18ct Gold, Natural Solid Opals (0.85ct).

HALLMARKS: Crown, 18, London Leopard, date letter f for 1901.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift-wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

Condition

EXCELLENT: The Opals are bright with strong play-of-colour and show no obvious chips or abrasions. The 18ct Gold setting, claws and scalloped gallery are secure and well-preserved, with the shank sturdy and true. Light surface wear and a gentle patina in recesses commensurate with age; no obvious signs of later resizing.
